What is a canvas?
Canvas is a learning management system that web-enhanced for student’s educational experience, whether they are taking traditional on-campus courses, advanced online courses, hybrid courses, or fully online courses. Students and professors actively participate through the use of teaching, communication and assessment tools.
With this tool, teachers can post material for student review, create online assessments that are automatically graded and displayed in the gradebook; organize discussion forums; and conduct online lectures.

Using the FAMU Student Canvas Portal, you can do the following.

How to access FAMU Canvas Login Student account
- To find your internet courses, visit FAMU’s Canvas link https://famu.instructure.com/login/canvas
- You need to enter your username (FamNet ID) and password in the blank boxes
- Next click the “Log In” button to access your Canvas Dashboard
- Click on the “Courses” link in the upper right corner of your screen to view all your courses
- Use the menu bar on the left side of the screen to start browsing your program content
- Review the syllabus first, then start clicking on course content.
