How to Access ASU Canvas Login Portal

To log into the ASU Canvas page, follow the procedures outlined below.

  1. To locate your online course(s) please go to this link:
  2. Enter your ASURITE User ID and Password in the given blanks
  3. After that click on the SIGN IN button to access your Canvas dashboard
  4. Click on the “Courses” link in the upper right corner of your screen to view all your courses
  5. Click on the course link displayed under My Courses
  6. Use the menu bar on the left side of the screen to start exploring course content
  7. Review the syllabus first, then click Course Content to continue.

Reset Password

  2. You will now be moved to another interface, enter Your ASU ID as required
  3. Select “Submit” and continue to follow the instructions of the system

  2. After reinstalling the app, click the “Find My School” button
  3. On the next page, enter the name of your school, e.g. Arizona State University

Students will continue to access their courses through their MyASU homepage. Students can also navigate directly to Canvas at if for any reason they cannot access MyASU.

ASU selects Canvas by Instructure as its campus-wide learning management system (LMS), replacing Blackboard. This decision was not taken lightly. The 20-month process included pilot sessions in multiple LMSs, dialogues with peer institutions, vendor presentations and open question-and-answer sessions.
